It was Technical Director of Parish Centre BES Santarém (IPSS ), responsible for valences Family Daycare, Preschool, CATL, Assisted Living, Home Care, Social Centre and Training from 1997 to 2005. Founder and Director of Senior University of Santarém, since 2001.

Susana Oliveira

EAEA - European Association for the Education of Adults

 

Post-graduate in Education in Languages and Modern Literatures from the University of Lisbon. Since 2001, she is working in the field of adult education, as Coordinator in a Centre for the recognition of prior learning and managing several transnational projects in the field of education training and active citizenship. She is a board member of the European Association for the Education of Adults since 2013 and the National point of Contact for the European Centre for Women and Technology (ECWT) in Portugal.

​John BENYON

University of Leicester

 

John Benyon has been Professor of Political Studies at the University of Leicester since 1993 and was Director of Lifelong Learning from May 2000 until January 2008.

He has served on the Executive Committee of the Political Studies Association since 1988 and has been its Treasurer since 1992.

Professor Benyon is also Editor of the Contemporary Political Studies book series, published by Palgrave.

Sergio Andreis

Sergio Andreis co-ordinates the participation in the ForAge network of the Italian partner Lunaria. He is member of the team developing Lunaria senior and intergenerational volunteering initiatives, training and action research. For its adults and senior volunteers Still active programme, Lunaria has been awarded by the European Commission in 2007 the prize as the best 2000-2006 Grundtvig project and, in 2011, the European Association for the Education of Adults Grundtvig Award for SEVEN, Senior European Volunteers Exchange Network.

Jim Soulsby

Jim Soulsby is an Honorary Visiting Fellow in the Institute of Lifelong Learning at the University of Leicester and the Development Coordinator for the Association for Education and Ageing. 

 

Prior to his ‘retirement’ in 2008 Jim had been the Older and Bolder Programme Development Officer at NIACE, based in Leicester, since 1996

Mariana Matache

EUROED

 

Since 2005 Mariana Matache has been the founder and president of Asociatia EUROED, a national NGO which specializes in Adult Education projects and Vocational Training courses in Romania. The NGO currently employs 7 people, has coordinated and implemented over 15 European projects, and offered vocational training to more than 4,000 people. Since 2013, she is member of Executive Board of the European Association for the Education of Adults, where she brings in her expertise of development and implementation of adult education in South-Eastern European countries.
